12/25/04 - Snow on PINS
These pictures are the first pictures taken of snow on the Padre Island National
Seashore on Christmas day ever. As I arrived at Mansfield, I knew I was the
first as no tracks were visible in the snow.
The forecast on Christmas Eve predicted the chance of snow. I had plans to
fish the National Seashore on Christmas day but had no idea the predicted
snow would be as deep. Here are some general pictures of how deep the snow
was.
Picture 1a & 1b: This picture is behind the dunes 40 miles down the National
Seashore on Christmas Day 2004. The structure to the left and middle of the
picture is the wreck of the Lillian.
